Broccoli Salad

A thanksgiving tradition in our home.

Broccoli Salad

Ingredients

  • 3 cups broccoli - florets
  • 8 slices bacon - fried and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup dried cherries
  • 1/2 cup red onion - diced
  • 1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup cheese
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3/4 cup yogurt - plain

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix the broccoli, bacon, raisins, onion, sunflower seeds and cheese.
  • In a small bowl, whisk the sugar and vinegar until the sugar is dissolved.  Blend in the yogurt.
  • Pour the yogurt mixture over the broccoli mixture, stir and serve.

Notes

If you do not have dried cherries, substitute raisins.
