Baked Potatoes

To foil or not to foil?

No foil. I like a crispy skin.  Foil seems to steam the potatoes rather than truly baking them.

Russet potatoes get you the nice taste and texture.

 

 

Baked Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 1 potato - per person

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 450 F
  • Wash the potatoes and dry them.  Poke them once or twice with a fork.
  • Bake until tender (a fork or the tip pos a knife should go into them easily).  They should feel soft when you squeeze them.
  • Serve hot.

Notes

Large potatoes will take around an hour or so
Medium potatoes will take about 50 minutes.
Small potatoes will take 40 or 45 minutes.
