Delicious strawberries from the garden lend a fruity, crisp flavor to this blonde ale. Over 7 pounds of strawberries were used for 5 gallons of beer. This is almost twice the weight of fruit compared to our raspberry lager, but it is necessary because strawberries seem to impart less flavor per pound.
We used White Lab’s California ale yeast (WLP 001) for this one because of its clean flavors, versatility, and hardiness.
