We make this every year with golden raspberries from our garden. This beer uses Pilsen light dry malt extract and is a simple and easy brew to make.
The golden raspberry flavor is more mellow than you get from red raspberries. The result is a slightly sweet tasting crisp lager.
Raspberries
This beer uses Wyeast’s California Lager Yeast (2112) . This yeast is for California Common beers (like Anchor Steam). It maintains lager characteristics at warmer temperatures, like our basement storage room which is about 59 °F in the autumn after we harvest raspberries.
