Basil-Garlic Grilled Salmon
Fresh basil, a little garlic and some flavorful tomatoes add a bit of a kick to a grilled salmon filet.
Ingredients
1
pound
salmon filet
1
tablespoon
basil
fresh, chopped
3
cloves
garlic
minced
2
teaspoons
olive oil
2
small tomatoes
halved or quartered
Instructions
Turn on your gas grill and heat to high (or prepare your charcoal grill for high temperature grilling).
In a small bowl, mix the chopped basil with the garlic and the olive oil.
Dry the salmon fillet with paper towel.
Remove the pin bones from the filet.
Put the salmon on a hot grill and cook for 3 or 4 minutes skin side up.
Turn the salmon and brush or spread the basil garlic mixture on top along with the tomatoes.
Cook for another 3 or 4 minutes. Be sure to check the meat and cook until the raw pink color is gone - do not over cook!
